Choosy donors choose the Cardinal District

Do you remember the old commercial that declared that “Choosy mothers choose Jif”?  Well, we are faced with choices every day, and there is one choice that is more important than your choice of peanut butter for your favorite cookies and will help bring needed dollars back to your Barbershop chapter and district.

It’s called Donor’s Choice.  With this program, up to 30% of your total donation to Harmony Foundation can be sent back to a chapter and/or district that you designate, to fund their local programs.  So, for example, if you are an Ambassadors of Song donor at the entry level of $10/month, your chapter and/or district (in combination) could receive up to $36 of your $120 yearly donation.  President’s Council members, at the entry level of $1.000 per year, could send up to $300 of that yearly donation back to their chapter and/or district.

No matter how you designate your donation, know that your contributions are helping spread and maintain the Barbershop style throughout the Society and local communities.

For the six month period ended September 30, 2014, in the Cardinal District we had 114 participants in the Ambassadors of Song program and 31 members of the President’s Council. Semi-annual payments totaling $6,022 from the Donor’s Choice program were distributed in October to the district and 13 of our chapters, per the donors’ specific instructions.  The district received $690, with the remainder going to the chapters.

Many thanks to the following donors who are directly supporting our district through Donor’s Choice at the district level:
