For the past several years, the Tri-County Harmonizers (F010 Greensburg) have been extremely busy singing. For example, in 2015 we sang to all the nursing homes in Greensburg, Indiana a total of 26 times. There are six (6) nursing homes in Greensburg: Arbor Grove Village, Aspen Place, Crown Pointe, Heritage House, Hickory Creek, and Morning Breeze. Heritage House has an Alzheimers ward, so we have treated it as two (2) different places.
We are always really busy learning new songs in order to change our repertoire so we can begin our rounds again. It has been very rewarding to do this … just seeing the looks of appreciation on the faces of our audiences. Whether they can speak it or not, I know that look means “Thanks.” In addition, we sang at the New Point, Indiana “Crackaway Daze” extravaganza that takes place the third weekend of September each year. This past year we featured the Mello-Tones from Seymour, Indiana as our guests on that show. We also were the special guest to sing at a Chautaugua performance put on by the Greensburg Community High School, and we sang for the Seniors Christmas Dinner at the New Point Community Center and at “Music on the Square.” On our way to and from the various engagements, we have stopped and sung at a Vet Clinic, a Hair Salon, a Bank, and a local Truck Stop. 
We are a very small chapter, but we have been very active. Although it has been personally rewarding for all of us, it is our desire that continuous exposure will also pay off with some new members. Regardless, we plan to continue our endeavors of contribution to our home town as long as God permits.

Jerry Troxel is a retired IT professional and is active in leadership in the Cardinal District, in his 20th year as a Barbershopper. He has served the Greater Indianapolis Chapter as its VP of Music and Performance, Bulletin Editor, Singing Valentines Chairman, Treasurer and Chapter President. He is a charter member of the Indiana Harmony Brigade and serves as its Secretary. Jerry served for eight years on the Society Events Committee and is currently the Immediate Past President of the Cardinal District.
